What is this? Is it looking familiar at most of the scientific or futuristic movie? It is a new traffic signal in Japan.

Today I receive an e-mail with title “New Traffic Signal in Japan”. Look at it… my first impression is very shocking and surprising. Is it truth that Japan has implementing this type of technologically advanced traffic signal in their country? After detailed examine on the photos, the photos look not in reality. It is more like conceptual photos. The traffic signal might still in design and development stage.


Suddenly an idea comes across in my mind; instead of showing the people image crossing the street, why not change it with animation commercial ad. It not only could reduce or subsidy the maintenance cost of this high-tech traffic signal but also gives some entertainment and information to the drivers while waiting the traffic signal turn into green light.
