The 2008 Nissan Rogue is a new small crossover SUV which is available in two models – Rouge S and Rouge SL. Both models equipped with standard 170-horsepower (167 hp CAL emissions) QR25DE 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve inline 4-cylinder engine, advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), six air bags and other safety and convenient features. The Nissan Rogue has fuel economy of 22 mpg city/27 mpg highway for 2WD models and 21 mpg city/26 mpg highway for Rogue AWD models.

Winding Road reviews Nissan Rouge 2008 edition and concludes that “with its 2008 Rogue, the company has created a vehicle that will generate Murano-like appeal for Nissan fans and should entice many new customers as well. There’s a lot of car here for a model that starts at just $19,250”, and comments that the Rouge is the late arrival in an already crowded category, but with styling reminiscent of a more expensive siblings, proven engine and powertrain technology, and abundant of other features, it could be a just-in-time vehicle for many.
