New 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X


The multinational manufacturer of automobile, Mitsubishi Motors has announced its upcoming Lancer Evolution X with newly-developed Turbo/Intercooled Engine, Super-all Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology and available 6-Speed automated manual transmission.

“Since the launch of the first generation in 1992, we’ve unsparingly loaded this car with the newest advanced features,” said President Osamu Masuko.

This famous Lancer Evo X features the new powertrain combines a turbocharged four-cylinder 16-valve 2.0-litre engine with a new Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST), producing peak power of 206 kW at 6 500 r/min and torque of 422 Nm is on tap at 3 500 r/min.

“The high-performance engine, sports car handling dynamics and striking design of the 2008 Lancer Evolution will appeal to enthusiasts worldwide – for those who desire a daily driver with street credentials as well as those planning weekend track action,” said Dan Kuhnert, vice president for marketing and sales, Mitsubishi Motors North America.

The 10th generation Lancer Evolution X’s five-speed manual transmission version starts at just 3 million yen ($26,080) in Japan, while the twin clutch version costs 3.75 million yen ($32,600). Besides, the new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X that available in the overseas markets starting from February 2008 is expected to be a next hot drive!
