In fact, these markings that moulded into the tyres is a code system that allow you to understand the tyres\u2019 technical capabilities. <\/p>\n<p>This code provides information on the tyre&#8217;s construction (e.g. radial), its size, its load-carrying capacity and its speed rating.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the code on the above case means the following:<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nP: This indicates Passengers; (If C, it means Commercial)<\/p>\n<p>205: This is the section width of the tyre in millimeters. (205mm)<\/p>\n<p>75: indicates its aspect ratio, a comparison of the tyre&#8217;s section height with its section width (65 indicates the height is 65% of its width).<\/p>\n<p>R: It indicates radial ply construction.
