The ceremony culminated in the presentation of an FIA Gold Medal for Motor Sport to Michael Schumacher, the recently retired seven-time Formula One world champion. <\/p>\n<p>The Gold Medal was presented by FIA President Max Mosley and Formula One Management President Bernie Ecclestone to Michael for his exceptional success, outstanding effort, and substantial contribution to motor racing.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nAlonso also presented at the ceremony.
