Ferrari unveiled its new Formula One car to the international press in Ferrari’s headquarters at Maranello, Italy, this afternoon. The new car, F2008, was launched by F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen, teammate Felipe Massa and the technical team members of Ferrari: Technical Director Aldo Costa, Engine Director Gilles Simon and Operations Director Mario Almondo.
F2008 features a shorter wheelbase than its predecessor, F2007, according to Chief Designer, Nicolas Tombazis. “In 2007 we were faster on the fast circuits than on those with predominantly slower curves,” he told Diario AS. “We have worked on the weakness and solved it.”
Fans of Ferrari can look forward to a more exciting performance, higher speed, and possibly the championship trophy in 2008. Go get them, Ferrari!
