I have an odd one. I’m moving to an apartment and was wondering if I need to buy a shower rod?

Probably not. I have lived in 3 different apartments and never needed to purchase a shower rod. In all 3, the rob was permanently screwed into the wall. However, this is not 100%, only my 3 apartments. You will find out when you move in, I guess.

  1. We own rentals and seems like every other time or two for some reason the tenants would rip out the shower rod. Go figure. We stopped replacing them. So there might not be one. I would wait and see, and if there is not, get a telescoping one, that is spring loaded and needs no installation. Then when you move, you can take it with you.

  2. I certainly would not. If you apartment does not come with one, tell your landlord you want one. He/she absolutely should provide one, it should not be an expense to you.

  3. It depends. I can say that 1/2 the times I’ve moved, I’ve had to buy one. Wait til you get there, then run to a target or wal-mart and pick one up. They’re only like $ 10 (or less).

  4. Well, unless one comes with it. I would. It’s best to go ahead and get one anyway. They don’t cost much.

Good luck in your new apartment. 🙂
