Towel

designer23 asks:

I just had a towel rail installed in my bathroom and I notice its not as hot as the other radiators around my house. I can put my hand on it while its on whereas the other radiators are boiling hot. Is that normal for towel rail?

Yes. It’s only supposed to mildly warm them up, not burn them down.

  1. unless it is electric it should be the same temp as all other units. it has exactly the same temp. water going through it as the others.there is no magic cooling unit for the water that goes to it. so yes there must be an air pocket in it, bleeding the unit will fix the problem. P.S. just so ervery one knows it also supplies heat to the bathroom, and is integral to balancing the system.

  2. Well it probably shouldn’t be red hot. But if it’s very cool, do you have a key to “bleed” the air from it? If it’s newly installed, it could have air in it.
