I have a microfiber suede sofa that was treated with the anti staining stuff from the factory. However, this does not protect against dog drool. I was wondering if there is any good way to clean the suede without damaging the material.

hey i have an Ashley micro-fiber suede couch (oyester colored) WRONG IDEA WITH A TODDLER! but i was told to you Neutrogena Face Wash, its an orange colored liquid and mix that with warm water and use that…..it works WONDERS for me……i know acceptin the fact of using face wash is kinda wierd, BUT IF IT WORKS, it works..RIGHT??? and its worked with cheetos, baby drool, juice, A WHOLE CHOCALOTE SILK PIE (OH YES, u read it right, my son got a whole damn pie out the fridge and played fingerpaints all over my chase with it and EVERY BIT CAME OUT) you talk about a total feeling of LUCK….. well, good luck hun
My couch is the same, I fill a bowl up with warm water and Woolite and use a wash cloth to wipe the whole couch down.
Then I take a dry towel and wipe it down again. It dries pretty fast and looks great!
I suggest using Resolve fabric cleaner. And you may want to throw a coverlet over your couch afterward to protect from the doggy drool.
Well it’s not real suede – it’s a man-made material and its main benefit is that it’s easier to maintain than the real stuff.
Just use warm water and a little dishsoap (NOT dishWASHING detergent – obviously)…and a cloth. Add a little elbow grease and that should do the trick!
