I bought this pot because my son bought me tea that “blooms” into a flower and I wanted to be able to see it. I was afraid I would break it immediately but it is pretty tough. Seeing the tea bloom in this pot is amazing. I have a lot of tea pots but use this one most of the time now because it is just the right size for two people. Not too big. It does get hot, but it’s just so pretty. I do not use the infuser, you’re on your own there. It looses one star because it drips more than I would like, but not enough to stop me from using it.

A friend bought this pot for me and I loved it. The packing looks very plain but the teapot is very beatiful and well made. Its clearness is far better than any other glass teapots I have, I guess it is because it is made of pyrex glass. It looks a little delicate but feels very solid. It makes my display tea looks very good in it. In short, it is a great pot for display tea lover.

Sixteen ounces of tea comes to the level as shown in the photo (where the top of the spout meets the body of the pot). You can get 21 ounces of Liquid in this little teapot; however, Only without the infuser or tea leaves in the pot, and pouring hot tea would be unsafe unless you have a very steady hand. Glass infuser is the perfect size for the amount of tea leaves it takes to make 16 ounces of tea, any more tea or water and it would almost certainly make a overflowing mess as the tea leaves expanded.
Do wish the glass was thicker; still, it seems more durable than it feels. Teapot and infuser have been through the dishwasher once, lid too small and light weight to risk it. Microwaved water in it without the handle getting too hot. Seems fine on a tea light (candle) tea warmer. The teapot’s spout does a nice job of pouring without dripping. No metal = no metallic aftertaste in delicate teas!
Great for delicate flavor and blooming teas.

Boy am I mad I paid my good money and waited for delivery for this. It was a total waste! I could have bought something good instead of this with my money! This is the most ill-conceived, badly designed, horrible product I have ever bought on Amazon! It is a complete rip-off! First of all, $20 is far too much money for a tiny glass thing like this. I don’t care if it is pyrex, it’s still overpriced. Secondly, it is made out of very thin glass! It is extremely fragile! The glass in it was much thinner than all the other glassware that I have in the kitchen! It chipped the first time I tried to use it! I don’t want bits of sharp broken glass getting into my tea and then into my stomach! I threw away the tea and I flung this piece of !#$!% into the trash where it belongs! The double-walled glasses sold by this same company (Sun Valley) are also extremely fragile according to several reviews I’ve read. Well now I know their teapots have the exact same problem! Do not buy this stupid trash! Also the infuser is too small and the water drains too slowly through it when there’s tea leaves in it. The tea leaves have no room to move around in the infuser. Also this thing is not that easy to clean the leaves out of. This product is just really horribly designed and ill-conceived and ill-manufactured all around. It is extremely impractical, useless, worthless, and extremely fragile. It’ll almost break just from looking at it! It is far more fragile and flimsy than my drinking glasses made out of non-pyrex glass. Even if the glass were unbreakable, this product would still be awful and impractical because of its poor design. I am really offended that they would have the nerve to make such a bad product and sell it to the public. All these Sun Valley glass products should be removed from Amazon. They are ridiculously fragile and a total waste of good money.

the handle design is awful and just about forces you to spill out hot tea/coffee on yourself or who you are serving. I contacted seller but haven’t had a response UPDATE: Seller did finally respond saying they had server problems so they didn’t receive their emails. They did refund the price I paid and I had to pay for shipping both ways.
