I have a cupboard door that has come away. I have tried to screw it back but the wood which is chip board is not holding the screws. Can I fill the wood with something like izapon and then try again? I am at a loss for what to to as the door is now hanging off and my kitchen is only 2 years old. (I do not have the tools to route out another large fixing hole to place the hinge in another part of the door).

fill it with super glue and insert your screw
Use toothpicks or wooden match sticks, but dip them in white glue first. Let the glue dry and re-drill a hole a bit smaller than your screw. If you simply fill the hole and drive a screw in, the chances are the chipboard will break out again.
A very simple and cheap way to fix a problem like this is to use tooth picks to plug the original holes. Simply insert one or two toothpicks in the stripped out holes and use a utility knife to cut off the excess.
This will give the screws something to “bite” into. If this does not work, then you will have to use a putty or epoxy to fill the holes and re-drill them.
You can get plastic screw plugs. If you drill out the hole size a little smaller than the plug and insert the plug into the chipboard. You should be able to push the plug in so that it is flush with the chipboard. Then you will be able to screw in another screw as there is a hole in the centre of the plug suitable for the screw. they come in heaps of different sizes and colours.
Some times you can glue a round bit of dowel into the chipboard in the same manor then re drill the screw size hole which is usually smaller than the screw itself.
You can use some plastic wood filler and then re-drill out the hole but sometimes this is not strong enough. You can also use two part epoxy filler glue which is a bit harder for the screw to stay in.
