The All Foods Gas Grill features Cuisinart’s unique Versatile Modular Grill Surface system, which is a series of interchangeable specialized grill surfaces suited to frequently grilled foods, such as veggies, breads & pizzas, and delicate foods. The panels mate securely to the cooking surface, yet remove quickly and easily for cleaning and storage. The grill comes with the Veggie Panel, and others are available. I don’t know what The Wood was talking about. This grill got up to 600 degrees in about 15 minutes. I used a little propane tank (camper style) too. I think this grill rocks. It’s great for quick week-night dinners. Very good quality and great design.

Bought for Christmas for my husband and he LOVES it. Day after Christmas he had it set up on our small deck and cooked salmon on the grill for our family of 4. He was thrilled with the heat of it and all the extra bells and whistles being that it is such a compact grill! We’re actually considering dumping the huge grill on our patio below because we love this one so much, and it is so convenient. This is the first Christmas present that he has been delighted with in the 39 years we’ve been together–and that is saying a lot!!!

Yep, Cuisinart isn’t what is was 10 years ago, after assembly and use I would like to mention:
1. Add to instructions that there are two different washer configurations, the self adhesive attach to the bottom, the others are used with the screws.
2. Remove the flame shield before attaching the base so as to align the screws better and avoid striping the threads.
3. As this is just a cast iron grate, not porcelain coated, proper seasoning of the grate is required, nothing is mentioned on how to do this to avoid rust and insure proper use.
4. Suggest lining the bottom with heavy duty aluminum foil for easy clean-up.
The overall quality of this unit is only average, but the design and function are great, would be glad to spend another $20 for higher quality.
This grill heats quickly and evenly, reaches searing temperatures for steaks and fits a small space.

My old, very large gas grill finally fell apart after many long years of use. I’ve been using a charcoal Weber while looking for a replacement gas grill. I love all things Cuisinart so was very intrigued when I found this grill here on Amazon. After reading the reviews I knew my search was over; this was the grill for me. I actually found it on ebay for 10.00 less than Amazon at the time, same free shipping, so I ordered from there (it’s the same price now, 159.95). The seller was Beach Camera, the only seller listed here on Amazon currently. I also bought the cover, which is much heavier/nicer than any other grill cover I’ve ever owned. Beach Camera is a great seller, you won’t be disappointed with their service.
The grill is heavy duty and I’m guessing it’s going to last a long time. The grate is genuine cast iron, so season it before using to get the full cast iron effect, and extend the life of the grate. It has a very fine coating of wax on it for protection, so you should wash it the first time with very hot water to remove the wax. Dry it well then coat it, both sides, with an oil of your choosing – I used olive oil. Put it into your oven (pre-heated to 450), turn heat down to 300, leave it for an hour, turn heat off and let it cool. Your grate is now seasoned. You won’t need to wash it again. Just keep it debris-free with your grill brush, and oil before each use.
This grill heats very quickly, and the surface of the grate is evenly heated. The size is more than adequate for an average size family. I recommend reading more of the reviews for more info and helpful tips! I could not be more pleased with this purchase.

I ordered this unit after the other reviews noted how hot it was.
That is just nonsense. It took me so long to get a good grill mark on the outside of a inch thick steak that it wound up being well done. I hate well done meat and bought this thing because I thought it would put out the BTU’s. Nothing I did could make it perform any better.
It would be great for melted cheese sandwiches or thin well done meat patties but otherwise it is just a toy. At least the kids won’t burn themselves.
Tried getting it as hot as I could first and then putting in the steak.
Well it never got above 400 degrees and even when I did that I got no real satisfaction. The steak was still too well done by the time the outside was browned.
You will spend a whole lot less on a hibachi, it will do a much better job.
