when you buy a duvet cover, is it the one with the pattern that you buy? what makes it different from a comfor

i’m looking at bed collections, and i found one that i like, and they offer it with a duvet and a comforter. well i want to decorate my room and have it match the comforter, or duvet. but i dont want to cover it up with a duvet cover if it isnt that pattern. but i am going to sleep on it. and i dont want to feel uncomfortable when i sleep.

Most people buy a soft, white down comforter and then use a duvet on it. That way it is easy to take off and wash. I’ve never had any luck with them though because it seems as if the comforter always gets bunched up inside of the duvet cover and doesn’t look neat. I always just buy the comforters (although they are a pain to wash!)

Your question is a bit confusing, but I’ll try to answer. A comforter comes with a cover that you can’t remove, it’s sewn around and through the filling, and the cover has a pattern. You have to wash the whole thing if it gets dirty. A duvet is like a comforter, but comes with(or you buy separately) a removeable washable duvet cover. The cover has the pattern, the duvet is plain. The duvet can be washed, usually, but you rarely have to wash it because the cover is what gets dirty. Running it through the dryer on cool is almost always enough to freshen a duvet or fluff it up a little. I don’t understand what you mean about sleeping on it. You sleep under comforters and duvets.

The duvet cover should look the same and is more comfortable if you have a duvet.
