whats the differance between a dehumidifier and a humidifier?

Im waking up with a sore dry throat, stuffy nose and cough in the middle of the night and in the morning?

    ~*~A dehumidifier takes moisture out of the air. A humidifier adds moisture into the air. It sounds like the air is too dry so you need to add moisture back into it with a humidifier. Make sure that you clean it thoroughly each day to prevent bacteria or mold from growing. You don’t want to add those into the air that you are breathing.

    A dehumidifier takes the water out of the air. A humidifier puts water in the air.
