I bought this microwave to replace an 18 year old, 900 watt beast. I love the look and ease of use and performance of the Panasonic, but it stopped working 5 months after we bought it. Fortunately, it was under warranty that time, but it took over 3 months for the replacement part to show up. It has since broken 3 more times, the first two I had it repaired. This last time I am in the market for a reliable replacement microwave.

The microwave was just as ordered. It works well andhas more power than our previous microwave. The door was stuck after shipment but, works well now. Very good shipping also.

I bought this to replace a similar product. The microwave I replaced was only three years old, but it fit in the space so I bought another one. The latch on the door sticks and doesn’t open easily. It takes two hands to open the door. Because of the size it’s too much trouble to send back. I would have bought it locally if I could have found one. This is the first time I’ve had trouble with a product purchased from Amazon. I would recommend Panasonic, but buy local.

I took quite a bit of time looking into what micro to buy. This sounded great BUT – it is very light in weight for the size so it moved a lot just to open the door (so I set it in corner at an angle which stops the problem) – The biggest problem is the extreme heat of the micro. Things burn or harden easily. I even set the micro at 50% heat and still have a problem. I push the ’sensor reheat’ and that does no good. I’ve had my coffee overflow from that many times, had freezer food come out with burns, much trouble with pop-corn (that I never used to have trouble with) food in pockets comes out so hard I cant eat most of it. I was still thinking I loved the micro until I started writing this down. I just don’t know what else to do. So maybe others should be aware of this.
