How do I get wax off of a blanket without an iron?

I don’t have an iron and I spilled candle wax all over my friend’s blanket, and I don’t know how to get it completely off.

I’m guessing putting it in the washer would only cause further problems? yes? no?

Any help would be great!

OMG Ice is the answer. Hot water might ruin the blanket.
Make all the color run and you should just go shopping to replace it.
No more kinky sex for you! (without your own blanket)!!!

if you dont have an iron, make an iron. instead of an iron, heat up a skillet(just as long as it is flat on bottom) . after heated upto bout med, place a paper towel over the wax and use the warm/hot skillet as an iron and slowly move the skillet back and forth . just dont heat skillet up 2 much. might want to start out with low heat and slowly heat more if was is not coming up.

Take it to a professional…it’s probably cheaper than replacing it which you may have to do if you melt it with hot water (is it acrylic or polyester?) or if the ice won’t work.

Remove as much wax as possible, then pour boiling water on the spot that has the wax. The boiling water will melt the wax and remove the wax as it passes through the blanket. Be sure to do this in the kitchen sink and have the blanket elevated in the air. You can do this by covering a large pan or bowl with the soiled part of the blanket and pouring the water through the blanket and into the pan/bowl.

yep ice will do the trick,,,,

Take an ice cube and hold it on the wax until it gets real cold then take like a butter knife and scrape gently and it should take it all off….if not you can try some really hot water in the washer…or pour boiling water on it and blot it off…..

If you could get an iron, simply turn it on low and put a cloth or paper towel over the was and keep going back and forth and the towel will soak up all the wax…guaranteed.
