I bought this for myself and two daughters. We love coffee.
This works great for vacuum sealing coffee beans. I can have several
different choices on hand, without the worry of losing flavor
once the original package is opened.
It won’t keep a tight seal on ground coffee if you use the bags though.
You have to use the containers for that.
I am very happy with this product. I recommended it to my best friend.

I use this all the time. Keep it handy and charged. I replaced another brand with this food saver and it definately out-performs the battery operated model. I found that you need a solid surface to get a good seal to extract the air. So if your bag is bulky, use a small item that is flat and about a half inch to an inch high and slide it under the corner of the bag where the air extraction seal is located. I use a small wooden cutting board. Works great.

I love the performance and the size of little device. However, if you want the charger stand, you must purchase it separatly from the manufacturer or get it at WalMart. Please note that you do not need this charger stand in order to charge the unit. It does plug in directly, without the stand. Also, this device is meant for short term storage of food, not long term storage. It is great for cheese and lunch meats. If you are looking for long term freezer storage, get the FoodSaver vacuum system that heat seals.

I don’t like being deceived. Like another poster I was disappointed that this could not be used on normal foodsaver containers. The product box is very misleading in that it states it can be used with zipper bags and containers. The only containers it can be used on are the deli containers which have a different connection than what the other containers use. Very misleading, and disappointing. I noticed three of these items had been returned when I picked up mine. Now I know why. I did call Foodsaver, and they called the new containers “containers” and the old ones “canisters”. Unfortunately the product box doesn’t differentiate or let you know it is not compatible with the older ” canisters”. Using this with the bags the thing seems OK. It’s going back on principle.

I’ve had no problems with this marvelous vacuum sealer so far. It comes with an adapter for the oval container seals. The FoodSaver FSFRBZ0326 1-Gallon Zipper Food-Storage Bags, 22 Count should hold most things. We also got the small bags FoodSaver FSFRBZ0026 1-Quart Zipper Food-Storage Bags, 34 Count which are handy, and two kinds of containers: FoodSaver T020-00024 24-Ounce Lunch-and-Leftover Containers, Set of 3 and FoodSaver FSFRAN0224 Deli Containers, 2-Pack of which one comes with the vacuum unit. The latter are a bit shallow but OK. I think I paid $75 for all the stuff, but food saving cost is very significant, and this is convenient and saves a lot of money over the large counter-top units. Other Foodsaver canisters have dubious reviews because of reported cracking. You can do it all with the bags, really. Example use: peeled organic Fuji apple in a small bag will not brown at all overnight in fridge.
