For those who are anti-ironing but need to look well put-together, this handheld fabric steamer offers a fast and easy alternative to smoothing wrinkles out of clothes. About the size of a hair dryer, the steamer stores easily in a closet and is less cumbersome to pack than a travel iron. A removable water reservoir on the top of the steamer pops off and fills easily. Plugging in the steamer starts the 650-watt heater, and pressing the trigger on the underside of the steamer releases continuous steam to remove wrinkles from suits, blouses, drapes, and other delicates. This is not a good product whatsoever. First time using it, the unit started to leak water down my arm as it was still plugged in. Cautiously unplugged it and am planning to return it. I just ordered a Jiffy Esteam as the reviews are great, even if the unit is pricier.

My aunt had a different brand that was $10 more expensive. Hers worked really well, so I bought this one by Conair, expecting them to be comparable. I just returned it. Very disappointed. It took lots of time for minimal results. Not at all comparable to ironing. I tried it on four different fabrics, and none of them looked ironed.

Bought 2 years ago and used several time while visiting EU for business. Strong enough to remove enough wrinkles to be presentable in meetings. Before this I had to steam my clothes with the shower-fogging the whole room. Irons aren’t available there, and laundry service is not available on weekends. Travels better than my old travel iron.

  4. I was a little wary after reading all of the negative reviews but when I saw this steamer at Walmart for a couple of dollars cheaper than the price here, I thought I’d give it a try. I have pants, particularly corduroy, that come out of the dryer very wrinkled. I was looking for something that would pretty much eliminate the wrinkles without forcing me to iron pants every week. This device does just that. As some reviews have mentioned, you can do about two garments with each filling of the reservoir. In summary, this steamer has done exactly what I needed it to do. It removes most of the wrinkles from my just-laundered pants and slacks in a few minutes’ time.

I think some of the people expected results rivaling a professional cleaner’s steam press for $20+. That is not going to happen. For getting some wrinkles out of clothes while getting ready for work, it does the job. (I have been using distilled water to try to prolong the lifespan of the device and slow down any internal deposits but for $20, I’m not even sure if I ought to go to the bother.

I bought this for steaming the wrinkles out of my ties mainly. It works great! Easy to operate. I recently started using it to remove the creases caused by sitting in long-winded meetings. Do not try this while wearing the clothes, LOL!
