Interesting question, here is what I found.
Q). The house gets so hot when I’m canning. Can I use my canner on a propane camp stove outside?
A). The USDA does not recommend that you use a camp stove or kerosene stove as a source of heat for canning. The BTU settings a generally lower than your kitchen stove, and a breeze may cause heating patterns to fluctuate, which would make it hard to maintain the proper pressure, or even a drop in pressure, that would result in an unsafe product.
That said, I think I’d try it if I had enough shielding from the wind and if my pressure cooker were relatively small.
yes u can, my mom put an old camper stove in garage in summer so not to heat up house. good luck
Sure you can. The only issue is that a camp stove is a higher fire risk and fumes risk than a home stove. I wouldn’t sleep with it on.
If your camp stove gets hot enough the pressure cooker will work the same as it would if it was on a regular stove top.
