The Kelly Kettle is a great piece of work and is sold world wide.

Don’t forget – Boil your kettle a few times and discard the water, before you use the contents for food or drink…..
If you want to know why, just put your finger inside the water jacket of your new kettle and wipe it around the internal surface – a nasty shiny, greasy aluminium-y deposit will coat your digit.
They should really be cleaned at the factory.

Well demonstrated and world of sport was it ?LOL!

What’s it like working for ‘kelly kettle’ ?
Could you get them to flush out the ‘aluminium-flavour grease’ at the factory?

Well spotted! I purchased the track to use on the Internet – the 1970s World of Sport theme tune – so that I could use it on Youtube and thereby navigate the issues of copyright. In any case it’s a lively piece of the same length of the piece and I thought it fitted well. Any constructive criticism gratefully received.

The American made “Thermette” is made of copper and there’s not a chance of burning knuckles, as the handle is on the side.

Before you use your new kettle wash it out with those tablets used for dentures ( sterident ) ? not sure of the name, stand it over night for them to work well, rinse the kettle out well and off you go

    Interesting ! and not bad.

The New Zealand invention of the “THERMETTE” kettle and Cooker is even better.

drink it straight from the kettle please,

  11. fellrunning says:

Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean.

    nice video, fun music :)

a higher or offset angle would have been nice to show the flames coming out of the chimney, someone who isn’t familiar with the kettle might think the flames are coming out of the spout :) also showing how to add fuel, and showing how much fuel needed to boil the water would have been ideal but still a very good video!

good tips about washing the inside out before use as well, I’m planning to get one very soon

At first I thought you said Thermite kettle. That would be a bad idea.

i take it these twats that complain about having to wash it out before use have never bought any kitchenware. they all tell you to wash them before use

    repair scorched table .

  17. fellrunning says:

LOL – It may be efficient but the Kelly Kettle didn’t quite reach the 660.25 °C to melt the table! :-)

I saw these years ago the one thing I found is that they did not hold much water.

Which realy is an non-issue better to be able to heat water quickly then not at all and I’m thinking I will have to get one of these units for camping better than using up my propane… :)

    Love the music!

best thing is to boil them out first – washing certainly doesn’t do a good enough job.
I use one every day in the Forestry and can highly reccomend them.
Bit too heavy for back-packing though LOL
