This is an awesome toaster. Looks classy, love the stop button! The only thing we are having a little trouble learning is the setting, it seems to burn easily, so the setting can be a lot lower, unless you like really done toast.

As I was expecting a good T-Fal product I was greatly disappointed. Right side does not work at all, icluding the lift mechanism. Left side toasts very slowly and does not toast the entire slice of bread. It’s a good thing it has a warranty, because it is going back.

I loved this toaster the first time I used it. The style and functions were great, very attractive and I liked the tilted design. The 2nd time I tried to use it only one side worked, the 2nd side didn’t even get warm. This was only 2 days after purchasing. Needless to say it was returned to Amazon. Their return policy is fantastic, just had to print up a UPS label and it was picked up at my house. I should have known better than to by an electronic appliance from a cookware company. Don’t disregard the poor reviews of this toaster like I did…many customers state they received a defective product and this product is also sold as “refurbished”…that should have been my warning flag.

I realize toasters have had a lot trouble in the past but to open a box and find a nice new toaster that doesn’t work? One whole slot didn’t heat… You could see parts of the wire heating up but not the whole wire.
How a toaster works. Electricty runs through the heating element. The friction of the electrons through the wire cause it to heat. If the wire doesn’t heat up between two parts that do would seem to indicate a flaw in the wire that still allows the passage of electrons but doesn’t cause enough friction to heat up. Would seem that the wire was flawed.

T-Fal 5335002 Classic Avante 4-Slice Toaster, White
It was nearly impossible to find a four-slice white toaster locally, especially not a T-Fal Avante. I was happy to find it on Amazon and was quite pleased with the speed of delivery. While I paid $53.99 (no postage since it was available for super saver shipping), I was surprised to see the price quoted here as $38.99. Has the price been reduced?
