I love this little grinder! I already have another one without the extra containers for switching spices in and out. This one was pure excess on my part because I had to get a purple one to “match” my other grinder (it’s light green). I am having so much fun figuring out what to put in the extra containers. The first one right now has some rosemary sprigs and kosher salt. It’s delicious! The brilliance of the designers at Kuhn Rikon never cease to amaze me. They’ve got themselves another winner with this one!

The Kuhn Rikon Vase grinder works great. It does what it says. It grinds coarse and fine. I haven’t used it for Flaxseeds but for pepper and rosemary. I like that you can easy exchange spices.

If you have a lot of whole spices or coarse salt mixes that need to be ground, this is a wonderful system for storing and grinding them all. I actually gave this as a gift and then immediately wanted one for myself as well! I think this is going on my list of gift ideas for all the cooks in my life.
It is very easy to swap out one jar for another. The grinding mechanism is smooth and easy to use. And the design is elegant. What more could you want?

It worked fine for me so far . My experience is only cumin and coriander seeds . I got a good grind for my purposes. I like the idea of interchangeable inserts .That is the reason I bought this particular grinder .
There is still room for design improvement plus it is rather expensive for the plastic material it made from

Long and short of it – have owned and tried about a dozen pepper grinders. This one beats them all hands-down. Spend the extra one time and don’t look back.
