My Aunt and Uncle hired me to mow their yard and sometimes I need to travel across a paved road. How do I raise the mower deck so the Wheels on the deck don’t get chewed up when going across the road ? My Aunt & Uncle can’t find the Manual for this mower deck. I have the Operator’s Manual for the John Deere 4115 Tractor but, there is no info on raising / lowering the deck

On the smaller tractors all you have to do is push or pull the top lever on the right side of the steering wheel. If it seems as the deck doesn’t go low enough you can re-position the pins in the wheels, so that they do not touch the ground, when the deck is in the “up” position (just take the pins out & place them into another hole father down). If the deck isn’t moving up or down, then re-check the manuel. It might not be hooked-up right. The Back wheels are only there for uneven terrain. The deck is supposed to “float” even while down. When all else fails call the 1-800 they give you, or go to the local dealer & let them show you.
Good Luck!!
