We use nothing but kosher salt in our kitchen, and it is impossible to get kosher salt out of a salt shaker because the holes in the shaker are not large enough. Instead, I open the salt shaker, pour some salt into my hand, and promptly drop a blob of salt into the food. This is highly unsanitary, and it is embarrassing to see dinner guests beat the living daylights out of the salt shaker in order to season their food. I purchased this product – and I still don’t know WHY it works; I just know that it is the answer that I have been looking for! It is really a cute little item (it even has a cute little piggy tail on the back), and the salt spoon is just the perfect size for just about everything. It is an inexpensive and attractive fix for people who love kosher salt. You will not be disappointed.
