Replacing electrical cord?

I bought a mini food chopper, it works well, however, the electrical cord is very short, so i have to use an extension cord. Is there a way i can open the chopper and replace the electrical cord? thanks

The cord is short for safety reasons. Use it close to the electrical outlet and do not replace the cord. Also, you would be voiding any warranty that comes with the appliance.
By the way, tying up any electrical cord is a bad idea. Heat can build up where the cord is folded on itself and it can cause a fire.
If you still want the cord replaced, contact the manufacturer or one of their authorized representatives for further advice.

It is probably just a matter of removing a few screws to open up your chopper. The electrical cord many be connected with solder. Are you good with a soldering gun?

I don’t think so. I would buy a very short extension cord and just keep it rolled up with a tie.
