I have a bowl-sized strainer I use to wash my grapes…
do I really need to wash it? I mean.. i feel that the straining washes it! Grapes don’t leave any residue…right?

If you have a dishwasher use the top shelf. that’s the best way..if not, very hot water and soap.
Yes, grapes can leave a residue you can’t see.
You can’t see the germs, you rinse fruits and veggies in cool water. You need to use hot water and just a tad of soap to rinse it clean. I do it as soon as I am finished using it, it only takes a couple of seconds and it ensures no bacteria spread.
VERY HOT WATER, unless it staines purple, then what you do , is you weigh it down with a weight or rock in a bigger pot and fill it up with HOT water and some degreaser & bleach….to zap the stain……if no stain, just HOT WATER will remove the slime & worms & chemicals & whatnot from the grapes.
Wash it with soap and hot water. There may not be anything left behind but what if there is? Wash it after every use to be on the safe side.
