My New 27″ iMac has just arrived, i upgraded from the base model, to the 2.8 I7 Quad core processor, increased its memory to 8gn DDR3 and increased the hard drive size to 2TB. I have been using the iMac for a short while now, all i can say is it’s amazing and well worth the money. Yes its expensive, but its very stylish, well made, looks good in any room. Very quick in starting and shutting down. The I7 processor is also extremely quick. Apple have proceeded an another great machine….
The startup is unusually long…
This was the first start up of the iMac after unboxing. The normal start up is about 25 to 30 seconds, and the shut down is even quicker.
ya coz as with any new computer the first boot is always longer
with the airport thing do u need another router for it to work or is it its own router if u get what i mean ?
The Airport Extreme is capable of connecting to cable and adsl. I have cable internet which has a cable modem, the Airport extreme is unable to connect direct directly to the cable internet, the cable modem has to be connected first.
The Airport extreme is not a modem, so for the adsl connection i think you have to use some sort of modem.
But check with Apple first.
