How do you get rid of the dead mouse smell in a upright freezer?

We got a used freezer. Totally scrubbed it with bleach & hot water.. Found a dead mouse at the bottom under the freezer.
Took him out and re bleached everything again. Waited 2 days, plugged it in runs great but inside the freezer still smells like something died… Need help trying to figure this one out!
Any other places I could check on this thing?

I’ve got a great odor eliminator solution that I’ve used myself and safe and totally fragrance free. . Go out and get a couple of the FRIDGE-IT activated carbon odor absorbers – little purple odor absorber- not the imitations. costs around $3 dollars each and place a couple in the freezer. Totally unscented so it actually eliminates odor rather than covering up with some nasty fragrance.
I’ve used these for worst smells including spoiled fish in car and for closets, horrible smell in fridge etc. they are FANTASTIC> No spills or chemicals to worry about. You can buy these in kitchen gadget stores or just go direct which is what I do – contact them at customerservice@innofresh.com and ask for order form. You get it right away. Also, noticed you can buy it at Starcrest catalog too. Definitely the way to go. try it.
    Good luck

My son and I moved recently and someone had used a very
strong smelling cleaner in the refrigerator/freezer and we tried baking soda, airing it out, placed a fan inside and everything besides just good cleaning.
One day I came home and my son had taken apart the freezer compartment panels which exposed the fan and completely cleaned them inside and out and then screwed them back into place. After the disassembly and reassembled freezer was cleaned the smell was gone.

There are products available that will get rid of biologically based odors, such as from urine, feces, decaying bodies, etc. They contain enzymes and bacteria, in a water-based suspension. After mixing it with some tap water, you spray the product on the source of the odor.

I have a relative who is in the disaster recovery business and he supplied me with a bottle of the above. I don’t know where to tell you to go to buy this product, but you might check with any local companies that specialize in disaster recovery.

Number one, try leaving an open container of vinegar in the freezer for a day or two
Number two, buy some kitty litter that contains chlorophyll and leave it in the freezer for several days.
