any way to make a cheap rug? Or anyone know of places to check for affordable rugs?
I’m looking for a rug to cover up the dining room carpet, just to lay on top but everything I find is very expensive. The rug doesn’t have to be anything exotic, anyone have any affordable ideas? Or creative ways of turning something into a rug?

Walmart has cheap rugs, like $20 even. If you know someone who just had their home carpeted they may have a big enough remnant. You can take that to a carpet shop and have it whipped/bound around the edges for a rug. I’ve seen some DIY shows on tv where they used things like vinyl flooring upside down and canvas to make rugs. I would check out sites like hgtv.com
