Im Sorry, but the Novel will FOREVER be better than the film, as much as I love the film. It doesn’t have Hassan’s son suicide attempt on it- its disapointting, as its so near to the end and a harsh thing to happen to Amir.

CLASSIC

i just finished the book, i loved it…i cried at some bits, like when amir’s dad died, when hassan died and when rahim khan was really old and was talking to amir…

seriously!! thats why i dont really approve of books into films, they always miss out on essentials. In my opinion that was a major turning point for Amir. To be like holy shit, he really HATES his life since his parents died and he was forced into Assef’s home. AND, he prays at the hospital, which is incredibly significant. But oh well.. I didn’t direct it. hahah.

haha! I think its not in there because it would of detracted from the structure of a normal film. It theres such a bombshell towards the end….argh, I don’t know. But I don’t think it would of run as a ciniematic even aswell as it is now.

It’s an easy book to read but also hard on the heart of the readers (at least for me). I had to put it down sometimes coz I don’t feel like weeping in public! LOL!
Turning out to be one of my most favorite book.

its sooo good movie! the best movie I have ever seen. its so emotional and so sweet story.. I love the part in the movie when hossain say to amir: baraye tu hamachiz…
hossain could sacrifice himself to his friend while amir didnt care but friendship should be like these two young and sweet boys (not at the first)..
