I have horrible blue kitchen cupboard doors that I would like to repaint. I have bought some off-white kitchen cupboard restoring paint, but when it dries, it peels off really easily – any little knock would make it look terrible. The original cupboard doors are covered with a sort of plastic laminate that is meant to look like painted wood. Would sanding these slightly to provide a key do the trick, or am I wasting my time?

yes it would, but ide take the doors off (and outdoors) sand with an electric sander, then paint with a good undercoat, before doing the topcoat.
i did this and it worked fine for me, (had the same problem)
