its a blue supergiant, shining at 40,000 the brightness of the sun. Think of the blue part at the bottem of a flame compared to the yellow flame at the tip

Size to scale, well lets think about it. If we were bigger, planets would look smaller, and since were smaller they look bigger. Image is a funny thing, you compare it to something else, but dont forget the eye plays a part in what is seen and how it is seen as well. In truth image, size is nothing more then a comparison to another. If we could expand ourselves large enough the galaxy would seem or even look as small as atoms, just a few thoughts to ponder.

  15. PermaWrath says:

Those are just thoughts. Fact is you’re very small and insignificant.

    where is Uranus?

  17. suroj says:

I think you know the answer to that one..

  18. stevesrd says:

I tend to think small and large are but concepts. You can say earth is big, compared to you, yet it is also small compared to the sun, so which is it big or small, one or the other or both or even neither. As to insignificant, to say one is insignificant is to compare to something else, as in the something else is significant and you are not. Here I tend to think all is significant, but of course thats just my opinion, if you want to believe you are insignificant that is your right of course.

Why are people so petty…it was just a question…most vids are set to music. Adds interest. No big deal.

  23. mynameisjoelkereluke says:

    high five.

  24. DeepGrey says:

Rigel is known as a blue supergiant. Betelgeuse and the stars after it are red (or orange) supergiants
