It seems good but this method is not very practical, because magnets loose there strength quickly when both magnets same polaritys are forced together.

  2. spiritor10 says:

They should use those for trompolines :)

  3. NOCNOTCAUGHT says:

Did the magnets generate heat? Don’t Neodymiums weaken each other when presented in opposition or when jarred or heated?

  4. gokiludo says:

i did this exp. in high school:)

  5. gpaluk says:

You should buy them with the holes allready in them, it would be potentially dangerous to drill the holes since the magnetic forces could throw out the broken of pieces.

  6. atomgonuclear says:

how is this not a bearing? Look up the definition idiot, Its not a BALL bearing, but yes it is a bearing

  7. oOoxelAoOo says:

I did a course on fucking bearings. And it turns out that they’re things to reduce friction on things rotating about a shaft….
    OH WAIT!

  8. iamsnail says:

Ok, lets assume that I can shield myself. How abotu the magnets then, they will not get de-magnetisedbecause of drilling hole? I suppouse not?

  9. vinniyo says:

wtf, I went to voyspace and saw this video.

  10. hawk127311 says:

try googling “maglev train.” They have been around for years, so to say it’s not practical is incorrect.

  11. petefowlerfsmailnet says:

Good point, but maglev train works on electomagnets and not permenant ones like he is using here.

  12. I3uttman says:

I can absolutely positively guarantee you that is a bushing. IDIOT

  13. hawk127311 says:

True enough, but take the basics and add a coil and current and you have an electro magnet.

  14. kokopelli314 says:

Good idea but needs to be finished. Theres a frictional force between the top magnet and the rod that can be either, smoothed with a roller bearing… you wouldn’t be transverse loading the bearing and efficiency would be a little better or, to magnetically repel the shaft from the top magnet, and have a very neat magnetic bearing.

  15. Digalog says:

    he said that

  16. exsandohs93 says:

try putting the positive ends of the magnets together, with your nuts in between. :D

  17. dasgemuse says:

they should make magnetic bike shocks. they would never wear out !!!

  18. RomanGeneral90 says:

Wow a great video. I will watch your other videos too. Nice spin art, didn’t know about it until now. Will try it some day it seems cool.

  19. joe7258 says:

that is exactly what i though. except it might be too bouncy

  20. dasgemuse says:

i’m confident it would work, and that the kinks would be worked out…..

  21. Diostelibre says:

Hi everyone, Im lookingfor neodymium magnets a fair price. I went to different ws and it was a rip off. Please tell me if you know. Thanks!

  22. tisnyne777 says:

    Omg, magnets ar so gay

  23. VerrucktHuhn says:

So basically, we can use this to make electricity by making it spin on a turbine and we can have infinite electricity for our homes? I got to get me one of those to make electricity :)

If we can get it to spin^^ can happen.
We might be able to, I am not too good with magnetics.

  24. b0801tc says:

can you step on it and will you float??

  25. RazielKain says:

As long as the wind blows you can generate electricity ^^
