I bought this unit over a year ago and still love it. I have a large bedroom and it will warm the entire room 5-8 degrees in less than 30 minutes. We tried 4 or 5 other heaters before landing on this – it is fairly quiet, while it does not provide tip-over protection, it is very stable when placed next to a wall even on thick carpet. Considering buying another for other rooms in the house!

Summary: If you have a large room with 8′ – 9′ ceilings this would probably be an ideal unit.
The pros:
* Ceramic heater with fan – gets the heat going quickly.
* Thermostat with timer – nice feature not found in many heaters.
* Neutral color fits in with most decor.
* Allows you to lower the thermostat
The cons:
* No tip over shut off safety.
* Big amperage draw. Can’t run the vacuum and heater at same time.
Like several other reviewers we were looking to heat a large space to supplement a not so efficient heat pump. This looked like an ideal unit. It’s a good unit and will heat but, I think our ~ 400 sq ft “great room” with vaulted ceilings might be a little beyond it’s capabilities. It never reached the 75 degrees we set on a night near freezing. Reversing the ceiling fan helps with heat distribution. We like that it can be placed near a wall.

I purchased the Lasko heater and was quite surprised at the quality of the unit. The heater is lightweight and attractive. It does an excellent job heating a 12×18 room. The thermostat is accurate and the automatic on/off works well. Although it does not take the place of an open room that has no other heat it does heat quite well in conjunction with a heated home. I have noticed that my furnace does not kick on as often while this heater is on.

This Lasko 758000 Cyclonic Ceramic Heater, although larger than some, can be placed near a wall. It is quiet, quick and heats a room quickly. I bought this heater for my 86 year old Mom’s room to prevent her sudden chills and the need to heat all of the house. It has an auto function that holds the room temp constant. The timer goes up to 7 hours, longer would be better, but I suppose it should be checked at least that often. Very good value for the $.
