I ordered this for myself last year. I bought two one for my atrium and one for my great room. Both are in windows facing west here in Chicago. The movie Pollyanna started my love of rainbows and prisms. They do need a bright day and sun must shine on them, but they produce rainbows all over the rooms and show on front door about 30 feet from window. They also shine on a large wall mirror where they are reflected on the west walls themselves. A sea of moving color. I loved them so much I sent one to every member of my family and as gifts for friends. My sister has bought some for her husbands side of the family. Don’t expect IMAX from one small crystal. But if you love a rainbow and want something to cheer you up every day This is it. I have no problem with mine or any in the family.

  3. I bought this thinking of the movie Pollyanna and wanted to share it with my daughter. It does work but only after I manually start it spinning. It does not spin on it’s own, I have to start it every time. It will spin for quite a while even without direct sun light. But it should spin without having to activate it every time!!! Bit expensive for not working on it’s own.

THIS WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK DOESN’T WORK AT NIGHT, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!? Who would pay [this much] for a piece of glass that you could probably find on the ground?
