I have cockroaches coming into my cabinets and they dig into the food packets like cookies, crackers, etc. I keep the kitchen clean but still they get into it. I clean that cabinet every 2 days and the cocokroaches keep coming back. I cannot spray anything in the cabinets because its food. What should I do to prevent it. I hate cocokroaches.. and I’m scared of them too.

clean out the cabinets and call an exterimator. those suckers multiply like crazy and hide in the smallest of spots that no spray will ever get to. You can keep spending money on home exterimation but I would advise getting a professional. they most like will roach bomb the place and that is not fun to be around so stay with family or friends. Also DO NOT STEP ON THEM, they will leave their egg sacks on your shoes and everywhere you walk you will deposit their eggs and soon before you know it they will invade your entire home.
Check around the sink’s drain pipe (where it goes through the floor) and fill in any holes around it. Also make sure all cracks in the floor and wall are sealed up tight. It’s also possible that they’re coming up the floor waste in the bathroom.
Make sure all your surfaces are kept really clean. Don’t leave water in your kettle, keep all your food in airtight containers …even if you have to get one big cupboard sized container. I’d empty out the food cabinets and give them a good clean because things always leak out of their packaging and that can attract the little freaks
You could get the exterminator in but it’s likely they are living in the pipes and wall cavities in your neighborhood so you might need to have a few goes at it
Good luck and lots of sympathy (c;
YUCKY!! you poor thing! they’re almost impossible to kill except getting an exterminator. get rubber maid or tupper ware or similar containers for the food.
you should take all the food out and then spray the cockroaches then clean the area and spary with some kind of cleaner and put the food back
take out everything, spray it all , then put them back … if you dont you wont be able to cope with them later.
two solutions:
1.put some borax powder around the inside edges of the cabinets
2. put a few whole cloves around the inside edges
or
you can buy roach traps and set those inside the cabinets without touching the food.
better yet, take the food out ofthe cabinet and put in the refrigerator for safe keeping and use a bug bomb in your house next time you go outside for a few hours.
Buy some plastic containers to keep your food in, just to be safe. The cheaper ones from the grocery store will work.
You’re probably going to have to get an exterminator in to spray, since roaches are so difficult to get rid of once they get a nest built.
You can set off bombs yourself, but will have to take everything out of the cabinets and seal up the food anyway, and they still may come back if the eggs don’t all get killed.
Get the little roach baits, too (not the hotels that only catch one at a time, but the ones with bait that poison the group).
Good luck – cockroaches are one of the only bugs that I’m afraid of, so I feel for you.
They’re just CREEPY!
there in the walls ,get some zip locks then move once you got them there their for life
i think the best thing to do is take everything out of your cabinets and put a bug bomb, and leave the house. come back and fumigate the place. that should take care of the problem
They are horrible and never seem to go away once they come. If I were you I would get air tight containers for everything that’s open. That’s the only way to keep them out.
Also, make sure to rinse all dishes off before using them or you might end up eating roach poop.
CLEAN out your cabinets take the food out and SPRAY YUCK
Get it sprayed. Take out the food, and just get the house sprayed. It’ll be worth the inconvenience for a few days. If you live in an apartment building, get your landlord to get the exterminator, because people shouldn’t have to live with pests like that! Having them run on your floor is one thing, but digging in your food that goes in your body is another. Also, consider putting all your food into individual thick plastic containers that they can’t get through.
get an exterminator. Those things multiply and it may be beyond your control
Get a cat, but don’t feed it. It’ll have to eat the cockroaches!!!!
