How do I restore the luster of a copper headboard?

I do have a heavy all yellow copper bed headboard, by time it needs to renew its original luster, but I have no idea what I need to know and to have for.
Any idea?

TB2 is correct. But it will oxidize all over again. Keep this in mind wile you’re using the Brasso. Do you want to continue doing this, or let the natural vert d’ gris (sp) of the copper develop?

Get a product called “Brasso”, find it at any hardware store. It’s a metal polish, just follow the instructions on the can. We used to use it in the Army to shine our brass, etc. It’ll make it look like a mirror.
