None are really needed. Most just seem fad items.
A couple which are hard to do by hand,for me,would be;
Salad dryer,which is useful for drying leafy vegetables after washing.
Grater for grating various hard Vegetables, for salad, or spices like nutmeg for cakes etc
ut as it's a homework project.
Meat grinder;You can select your own choice of meat and mince it instead of buying packaged stuff
Juicers let you choose the fruit you want and is fresh as opposed to shop bought.
Not sure what the rest do

Salad Dryer... Makes it easier to wash lettuce because they normally have a basket that you can place the lettuce in and then hold under running water. This will help get rid off any soil or pesticides that may still be on the lettuce. Afterward you set the basket into the salad dryer and crank the handle. The basket will spin and centrifugal will cause the water to run off and be collected in the bowl below the basket and the lettuce will be mostly dry.
Grater... you need a grater to grind up blocks of cheese or certain spices that you might want to sprinkle over certain dishes. Graters range in size from small hand held ones to larger ones that are set down on a hard surface and that have 4 sides to them each side having a different grating pattern.
Toaster Oven... A toaster oven is used for small jobs that might be done in a regular sized oven. They are conveineint
because one doesn't have to heat up an entire oven to broil only one steak or make a grilled cheese sandwich. They are easier to clean also.
Meat Grinder... Meat grinders normally attach to your counter top and are used to grind up different (better)cuts of meat into hamburger meat which is less fatty. Sometimes you can purchase these better cuts of meat on sale and grind them yourself rather than have the butcher do it which costs extra sometimes.
Shrimp Deveiner ... used to peel the outer crust or shell of of shrimp before you cook them. These are handy to use if you catch your own shrimp or like to buy shrimp that hasn't been processed.
Juicer... You can make your own juices from fresh fruit and vegetables. Some say that it is healthier and better tasting than juices you might buy in the store because it is fresher and there are no chemicals added.

How many of these appliances do YOU own. Seriously, I owned an appliance store for about 40 years, and I don't have any of these, except the regular mixer........it's a great mixer, but that's the only one I have. (it was given to me). I make my own bread, but I don't use a dough processor or bread maker........I make it the old fashioned way. Every one of these pieces of equipment is harder to store, than to use efficiently, since they can all be done by hand. I assume you mean some sort of electric grater, not a manual cheese grater. When you cannot give reasons TO own something, give reasons why NOT to.

Salad Dryer, gets lettuce cleaner and dryer then doing it by hand, the lettuce also stays nice and crisp longer, Grater, so cheese melts faster, toaster oven, so you don't have to heat up the big oven for one or two little things and the others I don't have.
